Our take

Unveiled in February 2022, the Predator 65 is the point where the Predator badge stopped meaning shaft drives and started meaning pods. Twin Volvo Penta IPS carry 37 tonnes to 35 knots and settle between 25 and 30, with joystick handling calibrated for an owner-driver working without crew. The design premise is the roof: a carbon sunroof and a single-piece windscreen turn the saloon into a half-open deck, which is why the boat reads wider inside than its 5.10 m beam suggests. Below, three cabins — four optional — are arranged around a full-beam master with its own lobby. The compromises are structural rather than cosmetic: the flat-floor tender garage that swallows a Williams 345 squeezes the engine room above the drives, and the C-shaped cockpit dinette pinches circulation aft. The model is still too recent for a settled used market, but early boats have held close to list, which is not the norm in this segment.

Worth noting

  • Carbon sunroof and one-piece windscreen opening the saloon
  • Volvo Penta IPS pods with joystick control, 35 knots
  • Flat-floor tender garage taking a Williams 345
  • Full-beam owner's suite with private lobby office
