Absolute Yachts
Piacenza-based builder of all-IPS motor yachts, engineering-led and fronted by the Navetta line.

The story
Absolute was founded in 2002 at Podenzano, near Piacenza, by Angelo Gobbi, a veteran of Italian series boatbuilding, with a factory conceived around industrial precision — laminated structures, dry joinery, photovoltaic-powered halls — rather than yard folklore. The location, far from the sea, says much: Absolute thinks of itself as a manufacturer first.
Its strategic bet was Volvo Penta's IPS pod drive, adopted across the entire range earlier and more completely than any rival, giving owners joystick confidence and efficient cruising. The Navetta series, introduced in the mid-2010s, converted that efficiency into high-glazed, apartment-bright semi-displacement yachts and became the brand's bestseller. Absolute has stayed family-run and independent, growing steadily between 47 and 75 feet while competitors consolidated.
