Our take
Where its French rivals optimise for interior volume, the 470 keeps a foot in the performance camp: more sail area for the displacement, a finer entry, and a rig you can actually work. Felci's signature move here is the aft galley, pushed right back beside the companionway — it frees the whole saloon for a proper dining and navigation space, keeps cooking smells out of the sleeping cabins, and puts the cook where the boat moves least. The cockpit converts, with a drop-down transom, a sunbed and an optional plancha, into something closer to a terrace at anchor. Sail it two-handed and the extra power is welcome; sail it fully crewed with five cabins filled and it is a genuinely quick charter boat. The compromise is weight — 13 tonnes is a lot for 47 feet — which the boat carries well but which asks for wind to get going.
