Sirena 78

The Sirena 78 sits at the top of the builder's standard line, between the 68 and the 88, and it is the model that gave the yard its first enclosed flybridge — a glazed upper saloon reached from inside the boat, offered alongside conventional open and semi-enclosed versions. Germán Frers transposed the usual Sirena bargain into a larger hull: a semi-displacement bottom that returns roughly 1,550 nautical miles at 10 knots from 9,000 litres, yet still reaches 25 knots when the calendar demands it. Deck and superstructure are hybrid carbon, which keeps weight out of the top of an 87-tonne boat, and Cor D. Rover's interior avoids the gloss most Italian rivals apply at this size. The compromise has a cost: with 2,800 horsepower under 87 tonnes the boat never feels brisk, the styling is deliberately unmemorable, and at this displacement crew are a practical necessity rather than an option. Few hulls have been built, so used examples are scarce and slow to trade, though prices have held.
