Nautitech

Nautitech has built catamarans in Rochefort, on the Charente, since 1994, deliberately staying leaner than the big La Rochelle and Bordeaux series yards. Its boats carved out a following among owners who actually sail: moderate displacement, efficient hulls, and from the 40 Open of 2013 a signature layout placing saloon and cockpit on one open level under twin aft helms.

Bought in 2014 by Germany's Bavaria Yachts, the yard kept its French site, workforce and design culture while gaining industrial muscle and a global dealer network. Marc Lombard's 44 Open and 48 Open extended the concept upward with sharper naval architecture. Nautitech now occupies a clear middle ground — quicker and more tactile than the volume brands, less radical and less costly than the performance specialists.
