Nautitech 48 Open

Since 2024 the 48 Open has been the largest boat built at Rochefort, and it won Nautitech the 2025 European Yacht of the Year award in the multihull class. Marc Lombard started from the 44 Open and stretched it: inverted bows, raised bridgedeck clearance, slim hulls and displacement held to 13.5 tonnes despite 14.67 metres of length and almost eight of beam. The twin aft wheels the yard calls its DNA stay at the very end of each hull, so the sails remain in view, the crew in the cockpit stays within earshot, and berthing is done by eye. The stated programme is long-distance cruising, and a 48 Open sailed the 2025 ARC. The reservation is about where the cursor has moved: heavier and roomier than the 44, it is also less single-minded, and twin 60-horsepower diesels are modest for the displacement. Too recent to have a settled secondhand value, it resells close to list.
