Sirena 60

The Sirena 60 replaces the 58, the model that carried the yard's volume through the late 2010s, and it is less a clean sheet than a careful re-cut of the same Frers hull. The semi-displacement bottom is unchanged in principle — 800 nautical miles at 10 knots from 3,600 litres, a 16-knot cruise, close to 26 knots with the optional 900-horsepower Volvos — while the work went into the parts owners complained about: a galley a fifth larger than the 58's, a longer swim platform, wider flybridge stairs, a cockpit reorganised around stowage. Three cabins and a crew berth in 19.45 metres is a deliberate choice; the volume goes to living space rather than to a fourth double. The range figure is the honest limit of the boat, well short of what the 68 offers, so this is a coastal and island cruiser rather than an ocean one. Too new to have a used market of its own, it will be read against the 58's steady, unspectacular resale record.
